rufus & chaka khan - aint nobody (1983)
probably one of my favorite films of my childhood . "breakin" based in venice beach, ca, this cheesy look into the world break dancing took the world by the balls & gave it a little head spin. its no "beat street" which was much more dark & cold...you know how the bronx always looks in the movies. oh no, this ode to the west coast brings cheer to my heart with all neon colors & spandex. and i must mention the awesome cameo by jean claude van damme dancing on muscle beach. hahahaha! that wasnt the only 1st debut in the movie, ice-t makes a solid appearance as a master mc, which at times is comical with hes press & curl hair. the music is good. the dancing is better, but ozone's ringlets takes it all. i love him. love-joy!
This song comes on the radio at my work everyday, and everyday I remember this movie and who introduced it to me and it makes me happy :)
