just taking it to an entire different level huh? 2 things: patti labelle is ridiculous & i love this show though. midnight special displayed a showcase showdown of some of the #1 acts in pop music of that day, week, month, whatever...some of my favorite performances are this one; linda ronstad performing "youre no good"; redbone, "come & get your love'; james brown medley; and fleetwood mac's "rhiannon". a small stage, small crowd, enormous energy and just a good ole time! its everything i dream about as far as venues & performers go. the ultimate basement party if you will. love-joy.
